After RemoteStart the OEM Remote has no function more

Question

hello. after remote start my dodge magnum srt8 from 2006 with 3x lock i can not doing anything else. Not open or close the doors and not schutdown with 3x lock.

i have the evo all as standalone system wit t harnes chr5.

my ON options:

A3 key Bypass

A7 foot brake

C1 OEM Remoting

D1 Standalone Remote Starter

D2 Unlock befor/ Locck after (Disarm OEM Alarm)

This is common to a lot of Chrysler and Dodge vehicles. Just like factory, when the car is started, the key that is in the ignition barrel cannot lock or unlock the doors anymore. The other key still works though. You can replicate this by just starting the car normaly and trying to unlock with the key that is in the ignition barrel and then with the other key. If the other key lets you lock and unlock, then the solution is simple, remote start the vehicle and see which remotes allow you to lock and unlock while the engine is started. Take that key as your main key for everyday use and leave the other one at home as your spare key.

NOTE: After doing the test above with just starting the car normally (with the key, not by remote start), if neither of your keys allow you to unlock or lock while the engine is running then unfortunately we cannot do anything about that.

Typically on these vheicles, since we program per factory spec, the key used to program the module will not function once the vehicle is remote started.

Hello now i've chacked that. I have insert the fist key and started my car then i have used the second key for open and close the doors and that works perfectly . Then i have changed th keys and chacked that again and its worked. Hmmmm.... i have programmed the othet key and both of them didn't worked after Remote Start. That video will help a lot !!  Dont cry! their might be a solution.

The blue LED is not flashing on the unit when you are pressing the buttons. For us, that means the commands are not being detected. I will have to get back to you on this as I do not have a solution ready.

 

I will need  the 12 digit service number of the EVO-ALL please. And also if possible the VIN of the vehicle. If you do not want to post that information here, send it via the Bug Report menu in the Flash-Link Manager while the EVO-ALL is connected to the Flash-Link. Leave the video link in the comment section of that Bug Report section.

Enable all the default options that are normally on. A1 to A11. If it still does same afterwards, i'll be able to check monday to see if a solution exist.

Which connection did you follow in the installation guide?

Looking a the video over and over again and realized the blue led is not flashing when you are trying to unlock. Meaning the EVO is not even seeing the data for unlock. This tells me 2 things.

1. The EVO is not programmed correctly. The last step of programming you need to press LOCK on the oem remote. If you pressed the button on the EVO instead, it will not be programmed to monitor the right keyless codes.

2. The vehicle is seriously different. Silly question but, Are you in North America?

Hello. I followed the conection plan evo all chrt5 = connection F page 11 and programming page 14. Yes at last i press the lock button i know that. I don't know what i have to do more. And no i am from Germany and that is why my english is so bad :)

I don't see a t-harness in the video. Was the connections all done without t-harness?? Looking more into this and if you have fallen on a really old install guide, door locks were not functional.

What seems to be happening is that the CAN-BUS wires are being interupted while the car is remote started (the blue LED is not flashing when pressing unlock while the car is remote started). Do you have anything else installed on the car??
