factory key fob will L/UL at a greater distance than it will start (unless standing near car)

Question

lady cannot start her car from her front door. she can however, lock and unlock the car from her door.

Unit seems to lock up after the first lock command.

crazy thing, it works perfect standing next to the car.

can't explain it ???

That, is just plain odd.

For now, you will want to see if the eVO BLUE LED flickers on each lock press of the remote when it is far away. This is the indicator that the vehicle sends the lock signals on the CANs and that the EVO can read them.

If you personally have not seen the vehicle yet, I'd recommend bringing the car in to test it yourself.
