2013 Kia Optima SXL

I would like to know if the EVO-ALL can be used as a stand-alone remote start solution in conjunction with the Viper VSM200 module.

Thank you!

Hi,

There is no stand alone option for this vehicle. So besides for the VSM200 and the EVO-ALL, another unit would be required to actually control accessory-ignition-start.

Thank you for the response, Robert T..  Just to be sure I understand completely, you are saying the Optima presents a situation where the EVO-ALL cannot act as a stand-alone remote start option even though it does work for other vehicles, correct?

Correct! The EVO cannot control full remote starting on that vehicle.

Here is a list of a Stand Alone compatible vehicles.

Thanks again, Robert T.. Much appreciated although disappointing!

Understandable.

The EVO-ALL is first and foremost a bypass module. The stand alone feature was added sometime last year as an option for most low current push-to-start vehicles. Slowly, that list is ever growing! (there was less then 300 cars last year).

When doing a vehicle search on ifar.ca, there will be a complete section for Stand Alone compatibilities when the vehicle in question is compatible.
