Vehicles with memory features sometimes do this. It works on normal start because the car is recognizing your key and the positioning of the steering wheel is already set for whatever that key uses. On remote start, the car does not know yet where to set the steering wheel.

This should set the steering wheel on every remote start afterwards.

  • Sit in the car and close the doors.
  • Remote start the vehicle, wait a few seconds
  • Set the steering wheel to where you want it (if you have memory buttons on your door, you might need to press one of them).
  • Shut down the car with by pressing on the brake or the remote buttons.
