Blue light turns off when plugging in Red 6-pin connection. Fails to program

Vehicle is 2013 Dodge Caravan. I bought this EVO-ALL a year ago and was bummed to see that I also needed to buy a $45 FlashLink in order to make the thing work.  I think I had previously programmed the EVO correctly a year ago, but now that I finally bought the FlashLink I thought it would be a good idea to just do the process all over again.  I turned on the Remote Start option (seriously... why is this not a default-on option?!) and went through the programming steps for the EVO.  FlashLink 002504066374.  I held down the only button and plugged in the black 4-pin connector.  The LEDs cycle through and I take my finger off the button when the LED is just Blue.  I then start to plug in the other connectors.  I have tried every combination of plugging in connectors, but no matter what I do, as soon as I plug in the Red 6-pin connector, the blue LED turns off.  I tried troubleshooting and different combinations to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong.  Eventually I just pressed on with the instructions.  Even though the blue LED was off, when I inserted the key and turned it to ON/RUN, then the blue LED would start flashing.  So I thought everything was working despite the LED going off earlier.

This is where is at all falls apart.  I turned the key back to OFF and removed the key, but the blue LED just keeps flashing.  Additionally, I noticed that the dash lights didn't turn off either. I hit the Lock button on the keyfob, but the blue LED just keeps flashing.  I think what is happening is it's waiting for me to turn the key to the OFF position.  I think this because whenever the EVO is plugged in, the vehicle does not recognize that I have turned the key to OFF.  Seriously, I can start the car with the key, and now it won't turn off.  Taking the key out has zero effect.  It's somehow like the EVO is blocking/refusing the OFF signal from happening.  I think that is what is causing the programming to not finish.

The car will only stop/recognize the key has been removed when I unplug the EVO.  Interestingly, at that point, if I plug the EVO back in (without hitting the button) the Yellow LED stays lit.  I haven't left it plugged in for more than a minute, so it may turn off at some point.  Either way, the 3x lock option will not remote start the car... which is the entire reason I bought this thing a year ago, and then bought this prgrammer now.

What do you recommend I do now?

Did you use a Tharness? Check you voltage on red plug, pin 2 is 12v on all the time, pin 3 in 12v on when ingnition is on. You shouldn't have any other connections to this plug. Pin 1 is closest to edge of Evo for reference.
