2010 Focus Driver Door Pin Location?

+1 vote

The diagram (EVO-ALL, Ford T Harness) shows Green/Violet at pin 9. At that harness pin 9 is empty, but there is a Green/Violet wire at pin 14. What should I do there?

Also, does N.C. for the 2010 Focus for Lock and Unlock signify that no connection needs to be made?

I've tried to buy a subscription on wirecolor.com, it took my money but hasn't given me a token (Order 38593)

Thanks in advance

N.C is no connection.

for the wirecolor purchase, send an email to support@ifar.ca, make sure to indicate which email your wirecolor account is registered to.

The door pin can also be grabbed on the driver kick panel, but this is Ford and a good portion of the wires they use for anything is green/violet. So some testing will have to be done, make sure it;s a door trigger basically.

Does this mean that Lock/Unlock won't work on the 2010 Focus? Or is that handled through the data connection?

I'm a little confused why the directions would clearly indicate a pin location and wire color when it isn't clear to you guys what is actually correct. I appreciate what y'all are doing but the clarity is misleading. Hopefully when I finally get the access to wirecolor it is a little more clear what is going on down there.

Thanks for the fast response last night.

wire passes everywhere in the car. As a tech, i know i can grab the door pin in the driver kick panel and not have to go to the SJB (smart junciton box).

The vehicle schematic leads to... gray 26 pin, connector (C), pin 2 (cover is gray but when you remove the cover, the actual connector is black). I'll ask to have this change in the guide since even wirecolor states SJB and not BCM. There's unfortunately no picture of it though...

FYI, thanks for the feedback on this. Door trigger connection for the Focus in the install guide makes no sense. Just need to find out if the 2010 only or all of them now. Guides will get updated for this on their next update.

EDIT: at quick glance, seems this is for 2010-2011. The 2012-2014 it's at the BCM

First of all you guys are fantastic at quick responses.

I wanted to update this for anyone seeking the same information. The driver door trigger/pin is in the gray connector with the black sleeve at Pin 14 (the green/violet wire) on the 2010 Ford Focus SES
Thanks for this information!

It really looks like this would be for the 2010-2011, while the 2012-2014 woould be as written in the guide. Changes to the guides will be made in the next updates.
