Please read this guide http://fortin.ca/download/68771/rm411-install-guide-68771.pdf and follow the directions on pairing the rm411 to the evo-one, very important, do not release the button prematurely.

I did that and the led light will not light up on the antenna. i cannot get it to program. Should i select a remote in the programming software?

If this is a brand new evo-one, there is no need to set any RF kit protocols, Evo-ones are ready to pair with our RF kits out of the box.

Very important, you need to look at the led UNDER the yellow loop, this has to flash rapidly  when IGNITION is turned on and the VALET switch (plug in valet, NOT the programming button) is held down.

If the red led UNDER the yellow does not flash rapidly, then the module may be "locked or armed" to cycle out of the locked/armed state, please cycle in and out of VALET mode by turning on the ignition and pressing the valet switch 3x, if the red led goes solid under the yellow loop, repeat ignition and 3x valet press to turn off red led, then re-do rf kit programming.

Thank you,

Ok so then follow your procedure not the link you just sent me? They appear to be two different ways. I was watching for LED on the antenna not on the evo one unit itself. Also still no luck with the evo one recognizing the key for decryption.

There are two ways to program remotes, both are in the guide Rico linked (one of which is what he wrote out). The led on the antenna will start to flash after the brake press of the programming procedure. The EVO led will flash once it has entered a feature programming state.

Also still no luck with the evo one recognizing the key for decryption.

If you have not successfully programmed the evo-one to car yet, the module will have a hard detecting that brake press for remote programming. Successful evo-one programming should be the priority here.

Ok I have followed the guides you have given me for installing the evo one and programming so is it possible theres something wrong with the unit? Have you had any other issues with excursions not working with it?
So how do i have to go about getting someone to help me with this process to get the unit programmed.
If you have time to work on the vehicle, you can either call your reseller (if purchased online from amazon, ebay, walmart.com, etc...) for phone support, or visit a professional shop/installer so they can program the remotes for you.

You need to elaborate if you can at least get the red led under the yellow loop flashing, please specify at what particular step is the evo not flashing the leds at.

Thank you,

I am having the same problem using GUIDE # 24121 REV.: 20181206

While I “Press and hold the programming button

Very important, you need to look at the led UNDER the yellow loop, this has to flash rapidly  when IGNITION is turned on and the VALET switch (plug in valet, NOT the programming button) is held down.

I “Insert the connectors”:

20 pin (White),

4 pin (Blue): DATA-LINK ANTENNA *this is the RM411

2 pin (White): Valet/ Programming Button

I “Insert the 6-Pin Main connector”

The LEDs will alternate between BLUE, RED, YELLOW & BLUE/RED flashes.

*blue LED on RM411 also flashes once

I then Release the programming button when the LED is RED.

I "Insert one functional key into the ignition barrel.”

The RED LED flashes rapidly 10x times.

Now I remove the key and then insert it again for the steps in GUIDE # 68771

I “Turn the Ignition ON.”

With the valet switch I “Press and hold the valet switch until the parking lights turn ON, the horn/ siren will chirp.

There is no response from the parking lights or horn/ siren regardless of how long I hold down the valet switch

please call support

Your kidding right? Fortin's support is the worst. I'm a diesel automotive and heavy equipment mechanic by trade (Yes, I also install and troubleshoot faults originating with various ECUs) and the support rep I spoke to over the phone told me they only support professional installers who specifically provide remote start installation services. I was directed to contact the seller on Amazon where I bought the EVO-ONE.
