Evo All Programming for 2010 F150

Question

I cannot get the EvoAll to program.  I've tried both methods.

During the 2 key method, after the second key I press the programming button, the ignition turns on but the key light on the dash rapidly flashes and will not start.  I never get the 10x red flash or rapid blue flash.

During the Dcryption process after I cycle the key for the second time I don't get the 10x blue flashing light.  Instead there is a pause (no lights) and then the red and yellow alternate.  Suggestions?

Looking at your service number, it shows that you have finished doing dcryptor and have successfully updated the unit,

How are you using this in the vehicle? Standalone or with another remote starter?

No blue led flashing during the programming normally indicates a problem with the Can wire connections on the obd2 connector.

I have a Crimestopper RS00-G5 Remote Starter.  I doubled checked the Can wires.  They are wired as per the directions.

Please perform the following test,

1. Unplug all connectors from Evo-All

2. Push and hold programming button, plug in datalink cable, release on blue

3. Plug in all connectors, Turn key to Ignition position

4. Blue led should shut off, then start to flash

 

If it does not turn off, verifiy connection to the yellow wire on the 20 pin evo connector

if it turns off but does not flash, can wire are not connected properly, verify voltages on the gray and gray/black wire on the 5 pin evo connector with the vehicle's ignition turned ON

The Blue light shuts off but does not flash.

I checked the Can wires again.  The Gray/Black is connected to the Violet/Orange and the Gray is connected to the Gray/Orange as per the directions.  I have not tested the voltages as I do not have a voltmeter with me right now.

The yellow from the 20 pin is connected to the White/Orange at the ignition barrel.

When you get your digital multimeter, please check voltages, if you get readings of around 5v when the voltages of both wires are added together then the can wires are good,

If you get a reading of ALMOST 5 volts on only one wire and almost 0 volts on the other, it could be that the vehicle's can bus system has fallen into "single wire" can due to the vehicle seeing a problem or a short on one of the can wires.

If you get the reading mentioned above, please disconnect the evo-all and disconnect the vehicle's battery terminals and short them together to reset the vehicle's computers, reconnect and verify voltages again. if they fall back to normal readings, reprogram evo all to the vehicle.
