2013 Dodge Avenger Parking Light

I was wondering if a resistor is needed for the parking light connection on an Avenger. I have read conflicting information. Also when doing the polarity swapping relay, it is connected to apply full 12 volt correct? Its not looking for a resisted ground or some different signal correct?

could get positive parking light above driver kick, white/purple, gree 43 pin plug, pin 42
